The journey to discover the next Nigerian Idol continued in the sixth live show on Sunday night with Ose Daniel, Precious Mac, Victory Gbakara, Quest and Goodness taking the center stage as the top five contestants.

The evening started with a stunning performance from the guest judge, Rick Hassani, who gave a rundown of some of hit songs, including, Thunder Fire You. After his performance, took a moment to highlight Ose Daniel’s impressive win in the Tecno Jingle contest, earning him a remarkable prize of N500,000.

The viewers played a crucial role in determining the top three contestants, casting over 30 million votes throughout the week. Quest, Victory Gbakara, and Precious Mac emerged as the top trio to proceed to the next round. Sadly, it was the end of the competition for Ose Daniel and Goodness who shared their appreciation for the opportunity to be a part of the competition while in their farewell speech.

Back to the night’s business, the top three contestants took the stage to deliver two mesmerising performances. First, each contestant had to perform an unplugged version of a popular song followed by a song chosen by the public. Starting with Quest who sang IDG by Asa ft Wizkid and delighted the audience with Hello by Adele as the fans’ choice, the night started on a charged note.

Next up, Victory Gbakara mesmerised the crowd with his version of Blessed by Wizkid and won hearts with the popular vote performance of Happy by Pharrell Williams.

For Precious Mac, she enchanted everyone with a rendition of Ayra Starr’s Begi Begi and closed the night with Rihanna’s Diamond for her second performance.

With their powerful vocals and performances, Quest, Victory Gbakara, and Precious Mac have all done their parts in fighting for a spot in the coveted top 2 places. However, it’s up to the audience to decide who through their votes. Voting is officially open till 9.00 pm tomorrow.
